Authority expanding past its boundary.
Fire was simply the most violent version.
The solution, repeatedly, was also the same.
Find the actual boundary.
Enforce it.
Not emotionally.
On paper.
In court.
In infrastructure.
At the ballot box.
Boundaries are not anti-community.
They make healthy community possible.
You know what belongs to you.
What belongs to me.
What we share.
Then we can cooperate honestly.
The expired water easement had blurred that.
Sycamore Lakes depended on something crossing my land.
Over time, dependence became entitlement.
The new bypass restored the boundary.
Good.
The original HOA blurred governance.
It treated adjacent private property like community space.
Dissolution restored the boundary.
Good.
Karen blurred disagreement and destruction.
Criminal law addressed that boundary.
Good.
Every system needs edges.
Without them, whoever pushes hardest wins.
Until someone pushes back.
I pushed.
Sometimes too hard, maybe.
I will let others judge.
But I never regretted insisting my property was not Sycamore Lakes.
