The first officer stepped forward.
“Get out of the vehicle.”
“I am cooperating,” Victoria said. “But you're escalating this for no reason.”
Her voice remained surprisingly calm.
That seemed to make the officers even more irritated.
The second officer pulled harder on her arm.
Victoria stepped out.
Before she could fully turn around, the first officer grabbed her and forced her against the side of her car.
Her shoulder struck the vehicle.
“Stop resisting!”
“I'm not resisting!” Victoria protested.
The second officer pulled her arms behind her back.
Victoria felt the cold metal of handcuffs close around her wrists.
The click sounded strangely loud.
She was now standing against her own car, restrained by two officers who had still not given her a clear explanation for why she was being detained.
“Are you serious?” she asked.
The first officer leaned toward her.
“You're going to spend some time at the station. Maybe you'll learn some manners.”
