She had never expected that moment to happen during a traffic stop.

Victoria almost laughed.
“Tell you what?”

“You stopped me. I asked why. You refused to explain. You demanded my documents. You ordered me out. Then you handcuffed me.”
The second officer lowered his eyes.
Victoria's voice remained steady.
“You had plenty of opportunities to ask questions before putting your hands on me.”
Neither man replied.
