– Defrost your refrigerator with baking soda.
If for some reason you don’t have salt, baking soda is still an effective alternative, although not as effective as salt water. However, it prevents the formation of a layer of moisture that freezes and turns into ice over time.

To apply it, sprinkle some baking soda on the ice layers and write on the ice with a cloth dipped in warm water and talcum powder.
